Nice job re-creating the feel, I feel fuzzy inside

you must know the song Charlie Brown themesong really to well to create a completely unique track, but still perfectly compliments the original song.

some really striking chords and beautiful melodies in here. crisp, authentic piano tones bring out the sound very well. Everything connects and bridges together so well. great use of dynamics. how long you've been playin piano for?

another thing I love about the progression is how there are some real cheerful parts, perhaps representing Charlie's good times of his mature life...then there's sections were it invokes dark and minor sounding emotions....like when Charlie learns the consequences of unsafe sex or something....

anyways, this is very nice, I dont know what else to write here. I enjoyed listening to this man.

Thanks for the generous review! I really appreciate your feedback! :-)

tight bro

The quality actually gives it a more old school type of feel. thats a really cool beat, sounds like you've got some beatboxing sounding samples in there...or something phased...thats definetly a cool mellow progression, could be used in a funeral type of rap or something. tho you're repeating the same 10 or seconds through a a minute and ten seconds long beat, you could change it up a bit. add some subs in there. you could also use the little transition you used in the intro to make a little bridge type of breakdown...and I wouldnt fade out the track, since its looping.

great flow tho, perfect chill beat to lay some rap lines over the top of it. you've definetly got a cool tune to work with and build from here. keep up the good work!

thanks alot for the tip bro i'll take word on that...

Sweet Trance

I enjoyed listening to this track man. its not a typical sounding trance clip at all; did not sound tedious once

That pad was very beautiful in the intro...sounds like an ocean. and thats definetly an exotic melody, it indeed sounds like something from Greece/Rome, and you made this into a eletronic track, which is very cool. Love the leads and the catchy background beat. thats a real powerful saw in the interlude to emphasize the main themes. sounds pretty nice. During around 2:30 when you're building up, the drum volume levels could be increased.

so man, great composition. Sweet mastering, there were a few samples in here that could use some more mastering(like in the intro, the ride bell around 1:20 would sound sweet with some thick reverb) but thats basically it. You did a good job at playing the main melodies throughout a assortment of synths and different patterns. keep up the good work!

EchozAurora responds:

Thanks for the review man!

I'll try to hit ya back sometime soon.

But yeah, I was kinda aiming for a sorta Ibiza feel.. it is peaceful, and has that sorta dreamy sound.

I might mess with ocean samples and such and retouch this song down the road, there is definitely plenty of room to add to it.

Well, nice

This is pretty simplistic, but it has a futuristic battle type of feel to it. as you probably know, the flaws with this track-the saw synths sound too basic, and obviously, those drums are lame as hell. I know you said this was an old song but I hope you use new samples or usr the EQ now :P But the lead synths are pretty nice, I'm liking those little interlude breakdowns, and decent melodies throughout/

catchy, but too generic. I guess this is pretty good in general, but IMO I don't think it deserves to be on top 5....but who I am to say anything.

go listen to my new song "explosion"

this is totally racist

j/k. seriously this is pretty funny shit. nice FX and cool drum beat. all the voices flow and blend together, this an original beatbox style that I havent heard a lot of before. creative job here, I do wish it could loop a bit better.

McFooFa responds:

heh, thanks.

It was really fun to make. :D

did you do this for the lulz?

this is pretty damn catchy....could be used in a cheesy flash or game. what would be funny as hell prank would be as while some of your friends are having sex and listing to romantic music, place this one minute into the song lol.

Grillpie responds:

It's more of a tribute to the stupid lofi music in old games

that prank sounds fun, I'll should do that sometime

kinda sounds like something in FF8

nice romantic sound you going on here, i would love to hear the full version. cant grade this one too fairly because it ends abruptly(and its just a sample). if you werent on planning on this already, just add some reverb to the keys to make it sound more realistic, and vary up the pace a little more. when the track gets off the ground, add some more hi-hat hits, a better EQed bass kick and a snare or clap. just some suggestions :P good luck!

SoulofDeath responds:

First off, so sorry for the late late late late response...my hard drive FRIED...ugh so this song needs to be began ALL over again, terrible huh? im even having trouble getting FL studio back, (dealing with demo of 7 right now, liked 5 producer edition better :(...) anyway thanks for the review, and sorry again

not too shabby coming off a writers block...

a bit awkard, a tad slow...

some freakish melodies in here....sounds like robots getting eletrocuted in a green pond. the track gets interesting after the panned arpsynths come in to play. nice chirpy synths in here. the melody around 1:50ish is nice, and the themes used int he first track flows well to finish the rest of the song. there was no huge climax in here, but not too bad.

i dont like the drums, its a decent beat, but you need more realistic electronic samples, or EQ them a bit better. to variate your track a bit more you could some FX on the lead synth that echoes, like some reverb or a chorus effect every now and then. also, to fill the void that there is in the track, there needs more bass...that synth in ever bar, that sounds kinda brassyish, could be transcribed an octave or two and used a bassline, it will create more warmth. keep experimenting with music.

and good luck with your writers block...what i like do when I have these type of problems is listen to different styles of music, or learn/analyze other musicians work for inspiration.

SoulofDeath responds:

First off, thanks for the review, and yeah the drums i also think could've been better, bass...thats what i was forgetting...but i have a few projects that haven't been worked on in ages, so im gonna get to those first, then i might end up remixing this song

Ambient DnB? I like it

good job on this one man. phased pads makes for a nice intro, some cool FX on the synth once the bass comes in. the intro builds up at an appropriate speed and flows together very well throughout. so good job until 1:50, nice atmospheric relaxed sounding clips.

no real criticism here on this track-maybe you could have changed the drums on the second part of the track, add some more power to the bassline. by changing the drums you could have made them more realistic, added some reverb and get a more punchy sound...but I like what you got going on here. a louder lead synth would sound pretty swell in here too.

Good stuff!

Stan-SB responds:

i'd completely agree with u on that one but i can do much with it coz im using garage band: a really basic package thats part of i life for a mac n e way ty for the pointers

Cherish the moment. For in a moment, it will be gone.
