This would help with my ADHD

I enjoyed listening to this loop 200 times repeatedly while trying to be beat Blockout, and without this music I probably would not have been able to complete the game. so thanks.

What are those "wishy washy" sound Fx? DnT = Drum and Treble. haha dont be eqist man. lolo j/k sry. anyway, they definetly add a real nice touch and help define the track, sounds great in replacement to tradtional percussion. I can see a slow robot cleaning out a pipeway-this loop would also work great in one of those "infiltration games". I also really like the bassline, real serious melody, and the little intracasies and sound bits of short melodies that you put are quite relaxing but encourage a focused mood. Love the fx you got on the main melody. very innovative electronica mix with cool synths.

really cripsy fresh sweet sound, thanks for keeping it real. and i'm totally gonna PM you for that update :D

Riggonance

just as a piano solo itself i actually like dis piece very much :D could use more variations and more stuff like you said, but it sounds nice overall..

That fuzzyness/wind sounds makes for a well produced creepy feel..nice intro melody, adds to the atmosphere. I think when you hit the first the first tritone it came into suddenly, and you could have constructed a better melody to more smoothly introduce the dissonance-but for the most part throughout the track the dissonance sounds very good and not overused, IMO-I love this kinda stuff. I think it could use more different rhythm schemes to add more diversity, it kinda sounds like your holding back in the start. Chords and lower notes blend nicely, and I especially love the thick clanging dissonant chord at 2:20ish...could conclusion...the melody in the end sounds real dark...after the note around 3:35 I personally would start throwing in fast right hand arpeggios, to dramatically finish the "interlude" and transition back into the beef of the track @_@

nice piano tone, the darkness adds some character, i like how the lower notes sustain well

anyways, just my 2 cents!

An end to poverty!

Gorgeous ethnic african music! This reminds of music they show in those "save Darfur" type of documentaries. Your track is very powerful and relaxing in its current state.

Great beat, well panned, and nice to see you using congas as the percussion. The choral pads have great chords and carry an amazing melody, a very hopeful inspiring one. Excellent job at putting together the voices, the lead melody is dead on inspirational over the top.

When you decide to finish this, I would addon a faster melody, add more to the beat, like a consistent 8th note shaker riff, and an Udu would be a pleasure to see. Great work!

I'm happy to hear you liked it. I actually have quite a few different plans to push the power of this song. This is truly only the introductory phase. It's one of those songs that I want to perfect before releasing the full title. Already it hits the heart pretty hard, and I want it to explode. Keep an ear out, hopefully I get around to finishing it sometime soon.

Mellowed Out

Really nice music. Melodies are dim, sifts in quite well with the strings, that move gently. Sounds really great when the beat kicks in, the woodwind section sounds really great-reminds me of an arabian dungeon of sorts. Cool laid back beat, the block samples are very nice, not sure if I'm diggin the toms so much-I would replace with more bassy samples. The choir in the middle is brilliant, fits the style perfectly. Kinda sounds like you overdid the reverb on the drums tho, and there is some minor clipping on the higher end notes, you might wanna put a little more compression on them.

This is a very dark themed track, I enjoyed listening to it quite much! I could see this in a Disney movie, the main memories stand out and would be quite distinguishable.

kelwynshade responds:

I appreciate the comments. There are some points that need a bit of adjustment. The crash needs some work due to pushing the clipping like crazy and like you said, some high notes just need a small decrease on their effects that push the sound.

Thanks, and take care.

this one is kickin'

Good production of gradually fading in the intro, really nice opening melody, has a cool feel to, especially the last few notes on it. The second synth that comes is really damn sharp. The melody on top of its sounds nice to, but it could use more variation in rhythm to make the overall mix more catchy. But the second section around 1:30 sounds right on top, Beat works quite suitably with the rhythm synths, could use a variation everything now and then. But the drums and overall mix were quite well mastered to bring out a very swell sound.

nice work bro!

Twistedtechnology responds:

thanks! Glad you enjoye it XD I was experimenting with the peak controller with this song, so thats why i didnt have a whole lot of variation this time :P

Anyway, thanks for stopping by with the review man!!!

Moar like 10 Bit

cuz u get 10 stars m i riet? and rule 10 LOL AM I RITE

this is incredibly happy-really catchy poppy beat, and super cheerful melody over the top. Brings me memories of playing Atari even though I've never played one. Really good though, sounds totally authentic-dont have much else to say. Maybe a slow lead melody would sound chill in here, cant say much, i dont know a thing about 8bit. But you sure as hell have inspired me to make an 8bit track for this contest, so thanks man!

LJCoffee responds:

I'm glad that you found some inspiration here - I'm looking forward to hearing your MAC submission!

another great one

pretty slick opening, different bits of percussion, the vocals were interesting-no melody at all but it works. I especially like that effect you have on your voice around 0:50-and the vocals after are excellent. and gradually inclining melody right off that section. Really Love the instrumental part, nice tremolo guitar riffs, and you open up with a whole new style in the second phase-absolutely brilliant. Is that you on the vocals again?

Really moody, and the instrumental sections are great, and I love when people include long instrumental breaks in a song...thats a real nice clean rhythm guitar riff, the sax sounds really sweet, vocals have a perfect fit...sounds like there some bells or mallet percussion in the outro, beautiful arpeggios really, I think the volume could be raised a bit and maybe add a touch more of reverb- perfect ending reallly...i would love to hear like a guitar versus sax n brass solo duel from you!

from just comparing the intro and the end, they sound completely different, yet its amazing how the different phrases in this song transition so well.

excelenceeeeeeeeeeeee once again ped! put out an album now!!!!

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

freakin thanks for the review bro

woah bro

once again some really innovative stuff. I love the glitch beat you got going on, love the tone on the percussions, and the sound that feels hip hopish with the beat and subbass. nice dnb break type of deal. the second phase has some really nice intricate snippets, that sound around 2:10 scared the shit out of me. sounds like you got a really tight melody going on in there, and just chop it up into multiple parts, sounds real crisp, and like it takes a shitload of effort to do.

The third phrase was chill as hell, great job with including a consistent a melody. excellent job of building upon the original concept and make it gradually more complex. great clarity and mastering. Does sound like a melody is missing tho, but this track has a real nice groove that I'm able to rock my head to.

Overall sick as hell sound!

O_o

wow this is quite interesting and something you dont hear a whole lot of on NG. some experimental rhythms in the start, it doesnt sound too much of a clutter. Nice glimmering synths, it becomes really visual, i imagine an old water shed open up to the light. but it starts to get too cluttered when you introduce the dissonant parts...but thats some spooky ass shit dude. It starts getting a little better around 1:10, but then just sounds too sloppy again...I know you said you were using different times, but I was hoping to have a good minute in the end when the time signatures match up and you get a steady base to finish the track. I like it at the same time for the originality, but it would be nice to feel some groove you know?

really unique ideas tho! coolio...all tho this type of music is not generally marketable to most people, I can definetly appreciate these experimental type of tracks because its what inspires fresh, new ideas.

Twoism responds:

Yeah, the only part I'm truely satisfied with in this song is from 0.49-0.59 really. I like the chords there and the throat singing thing seems perfect there. But yeah, I can't remember for the life of me what chords I played as this was a year or two ago and on an older pc.

I think it needs some imagery to go with it really.

Thanks for the lengthy feedback man I really appreciate it, to take the time out to tell me what you think.

Pretty sweet, only problem is that this pretty much only an extended intro. Pretty catchy lead melody and cool bassline, and its pretty sweet when you divulge into the piano portion. Nice drums, the snare/clap could be louder, and it would be nice to hear a more diverse beat..Personally I would build from the piano section with a fast paced intense beat, a booming bass and then use your main melody themes. you had a kickass song that was similar to this with the crowd cheering and all...

Cherish the moment. For in a moment, it will be gone.
